Iman Nuwayhid is a Professor of Public Health and Occupational and Environmental Health at the Faculty of Health Sciences at the American University of Beirut, where he formerly served as dean for 12 years (2008-2020). He is co-editor of the landmark book on “Public Health in the Arab World” (Cambridge University Press, 2012) and a co-chair of the Lancet-AUB Commission on Syria. His research focuses on the health of workers including working children, environment and health, and conflict and health.
