Edeltraud Guenther

Director of the United Nations University Institute for Integrated Management of Material Fluxes and of Resources (UNU-FLORES) in Dresden, Germany

Professor Edeltraud Guenther is the Director of the United Nations University Institute for Integrated Management of Material Fluxes and of Resources (UNU-FLORES) in Dresden, Germany, and an internationally recognised expert in environmental management and sustainability assessment. Prior to her appointment at UNU-FLORES, Professor Guenther Chair was the Chair for Business Administration, Sustainability Management and Environmental Accounting at TU Dresden. She is also the Founder and Head of the Center for Sustainability Assessment and Policy (PRISMA), and has held Visiting Professorships at the Namibia University of Science and Technology, Kobe University (Japan), and at the University of Virginia (USA).

Professor Guenther’s areas of expertise include environmental management, accounting, and economics with a focus on corporate responsibility, corporate carbon and climate accounting, life cycle assessment, and sustainable corporate governance.
