Gisela de Aragão Umbuzeiro

Gisela de Aragão Umbuzeiro is a Brazilian biologist and researcher

She is considered one of the pioneers in the field of toxicology in Brazil.  She attended the Colégio Técnico at UNICAMP (COTUCA) and Biological Sciences at UNICAMP. She worked for 22 years at the Environmental Company of the State of São Paulo, CETESB. She is a professor at the Faculty of Technology at the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP), working in the area of environmental contamination and regulation.

She coordinates the LAEG Ecotoxicology and Genotoxicity Laboratory, is a lecturer at the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences at USP and a collaborating professor at the Wilson College of Textiles, North Carolina State University, Raleigh, NC, USA.
