Assistant Professor, Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering, University of Wisconsin-Madison
Styliani Avraamidou is an Assistant Professor in the department of Chemical and Biological Engineering at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She received her undergraduate degree and PhD in Chemical Engineering at Imperial College London. She has authored or co-authored over 60 research publications and a book in the areas of multilevel optimization, energy systems engineering, food-energy-water nexus, and circular economy (CE). Her research lab, “Circular Economy System Engineering”, focuses on expanding the limits of Chemical and Process Systems Engineering by developing tools for the understanding, analysis, and optimization of CE supply chains, concentrating on the supply chains of chemicals, plastics, and food. Her research considers the transition to renewable energy, CE supply chain modeling and resiliency, CE assessment metrics and the development of multi-agent modeling and optimization approaches.
